Description

The Hare Psychopathy–SCAN Research Version™ (P–SCAN RV™) is a useful tool in instances when it is not possible to conduct a Hare Psychopathy Checklist–Revised or Hare Psychopathy Checklist: Screening Version (PCL–R™) or Hare Psychopathy Checklist: Screening Version (PCL:SV™) assessment. However, it does not provide a clinical diagnosis. It is a 90-item checklist depicting relatively specific behaviors and low-level inferences about individuals. Items are scored on three key facets of psychopathy: Interpersonal, Affective, and Lifestyle. The Hare P–SCAN RV helps individuals in mental health and corrections environments form impressions and draw conclusions on the basis of their knowledge and their experience. The P–SCAN RV supplements the common sense or reasoned judgments of the experienced user. The complete kit includes Dr. Hare’s book, Without Conscience: The Disturbing World of Psychopaths Among Us.

P-SCAN RV QuikScore™ Form
The P-SCAN RV QuikScore™ form is completed by the respondent and includes the necessary elements for scoring the instrument. The QuikScore™ forms contain special aids that make scoring of the test very quick and efficient, while minimizing potential for key errors. The form includes all the necessary information required for profiling as well.
