Robert D. Hare, Ph.D.
Robert D. Hare, Ph.D. is Emeritus Professor of Psychology at the University of British Columbia, where he has taught and conducted research for some 35 years. He is President of Darkstone Research Group Ltd., a forensic research and consulting firm, and has devoted most of his academic career to the investigation psychopathy, its nature, assessment, and implications for mental health and criminal justice. Dr. Hare is the author of several books and many scientific articles on psychopathy, and is the developer of the Psychopathy Checklist-Revised (PCL-R) and co-author of its derivatives, the Psychopathy Checklist: Screening Version (PCL:SV), the Psychopathy Checklist: Youth Version (PCL:YV), the P-SCAN and the Antisocial Process Screening Device (APSD).
