Conners 3rd Edition™  (Conners 3™) is the result of four years of extensive product research and development. School psychologists, clinicians, psychiatrists, pediatricians, child protection agencies, and mental health workers can count on the Conners 3 to be a reliable and dependable tool capable of supporting them in the diagnostic and identification process.

Based on the solid findings and key elements of its predecessor, the Conners’ Rating Scales–Revised (CRS–R™), the Conners 3 offers a thorough assessment of ADHD. The Conners 3 now addresses comorbid disorders such as Oppositional Defiant Disorder and Conduct Disorder. Each parent, teacher, and self-report form is available in full-length and short versions.

How to Use the Assessment
The Conners 3 forms include multiple components that are available in paper-and-pencil or computerized format. The rating scales are available for parent (Conners 3–P), teacher (Conners 3–T) and self-report (Conners 3–SR). As well, the Connors 3 is available in short version. In addition, the Conners 3 also includes two auxiliary scales: the Conners 3 ADHD Index (Conners 3AI™) and the Conners 3 Global Index (Conners 3GI™). Assessment Reports, Progress Reports, and Comparative Reports are also available to help gather and record information, summarize results and facilitate discussion.

Conners 3 Interpretive Update

Important refinements have been made to the Conners 3 including: (1) Updated Validity scale guidelines with new language to better reflect the intent of the scales; (2) Refined T-score cutoff categories and category descriptions; and (3) The Aggression scale name change to Defiance/Aggression.

The Conners 3 – Parent (Conners 3–P) 
The Conners 3–P assesses behaviors and other concerns in children from the age of 6–18. Both full-length and short [Conners 3–P (S)] versions are available. The full-length version provides more comprehensive results, and is recommended for both initial evaluations and comprehensive re-evaluations. The short version provides evaluation of the key areas of inattention, hyperactivity/impulsivity, learning problems, executive functioning, aggression, and peer relations, making it an ideal measurement when time is limited or for follow-up testing/treatment monitoring. When used in conjunction with teacher ratings, differences between home and school are highlighted.

The Conners 3 – Teacher (Conners 3–T) 
The Conners 3–T assesses behaviors and other concerns in children from the age of 6–18 years old. Both full-length and short versions are available. The full-length version provides more comprehensive results, and is recommended for both initial evaluations and re-evaluations. The short version provides evaluation of the key areas of inattention, hyperactivity/impulsivity, learning problems/executive functioning, aggression, andpeer relations, making it an ideal measurement when time is limited or for follow-up testing. When used with the parent form, differences between home and school are highlighted.

The Conners 3 – Self-Report (Conners 3–SR) 
The Conners 3–SR measures behaviors and other concerns in children 8–18 years old. Both full-length and short versions are available. The full-length version provides more comprehensive results, and is recommended for initial evaluations and comprehensive re-evaluations. The short version provides evaluation of the key areas of inattention, hyperactivity/impulsivity, learning problems, aggression, and family relations, making it an ideal measure when time is limited or for follow-up testing. 

Conners 3 Global Index (Conners 3GI™)
Conners 3 Global Index (Conners 3GI™) The Conners 3GI is a fast and effective measure of general psychopathology and a helpful tool in monitoring treatment and intervention. The Conners 3GI is included in the full-length Conners 3 (for parent and teacher forms) or can be purchased separately.

Conners 3 ADHD Index (Conners 3AI™)
Conners 3 ADHD Index (Conners 3AI™) The Conners 3 offers a 10-item ADHD index (Conners 3AI). The brief index works well when screening a large group of children and adolescents to see if further assessment of ADHD is warranted. Additionally, this form can be used to monitor the effectiveness of treatment plans and measure the child’s response to intervention. This form is available in parent, teacher, and self-report versions. The Conners 3AI is included in the full-length Conners 3rd Edition™.
