Audio-Visual or Special Presentation Requirements:

Additional information on the above requirements is provided below:

Presentation Track – Presentations at ICEI 2009 will generally be organized by track. Please be sure to identify a primary topic from one of the following: recruiting, organizational development, research, and other. If you indicate “other,” please provide a primary topic.

Audience Level – In response to feedback from previous ICEI™ conferences, presentations will be classified according to the complexity of the concepts each presentation deals with. When completing your presentation outline, be sure to indicate whether your presentation is meant for attendees with a novice level of experience with Emotional Intelligence, for those with advanced experience, or for individuals with all levels of experience.

Presentation Format – Presentations at ICEI™ 2009 will take one of two formats:

  1. Interactive Lecture Format: The interactive lecture presentations will be scheduled for hour-long timeslots over the two days and will make up the bulk of the conference’s learning tracks. The goal of the interactive lecture will be to present the depth of material of a lecture, while still incorporating the audience participation of a workshop. If you select the interactive lecture format, plan for your presentation to run for 45 minutes to allow time for Q&A.

  2. Poster Format: These presentations will take a standard poster format, allowing the presenter to showcase his/her work and field questions from delegates.

Presentation Abstract – The presentation abstract is a brief statement (limited to 150 words in length) outlining the material you wish to present on and the manner in which it will be presented. Be sure to highlight 3 to 5 learning objectives in your presentation abstract.

Audio-Visual or Special Presentation Requirements – If your presentation requires a projector, flip chart, or any other audio-visual equipment, please specify your requirements in your presentation proposal. Note that conference organizers will not be supplying any supplementary equipment for poster presentations beyond a poster board for mounting the poster.
